This is fantastic, durable portable DVD player. We bought it to use on trips with 1 year old daughter. She has handled it very roughly, for over a year now, and it is still in great shape and has no problems. Battery lasts about 6 hours when fully charged, and graphics are nice. It is simple to use, and holds up to a lot of wear and tear and frequent use! Highly recommend it!

I bought this dvd player for my daughter last christmas (1 year ago).

I worked very well right out of the box. The screen was bright and sharp, sound was good. I had no complaints.

But then the problems with the buttons began. The system wouldn't turn on, or the buttons just wouldn't work. In all cases, removing the battery and putting it back in seemed to clear up the issue. It's not a huge problem, and I wouldn't say it happened "often" - just enough to be annoying. Since my daughter is 9, it was very frustrating for her. She's always been very careful with the unit, and never mistreated it. So I blame sony, not her.

On top of that, about a month ago one of the battery packs began to swell up and seems to be on the verge of exploding. It's like a balloon. Thankfully it didn't pop and spray who knows what all over the place.

I still haven't contacted sony on it. If they offer a simple solution, I'll update this review... Read more
